LIMS’ staff work closely with LIMS’ scientists to help them better carry out their research, win research grants, and organise visits. LIMS is as selective in hiring its staff as it is in hiring its scientists.

Fundraising and development
Elizabeth Forrester (elizabeth@london-institute.org) is a New Yorker raised in London with a BA from St Mary, Notre Dame. She has managed grants for the Applied & Computational Mathematics department at Caltech and has led a variety of fundraising initiatives, including £4 million for a parish in Soho and £500,000 for a London sculpture. As an account manager for Cisco Systems, she worked in advertising, marketing and brand management with 24 countries. Elizabeth has a a degree in Italian and is fluent in Spanish.

Contracts and law
Katharine Skorupska (katharine@london-institute.org) read French and Philosophy at New College, Oxford University. She graduated top of her year at Oxford for an M.St. in Renaissance Philosophy, then decided she would rather be a lawyer. Katharine graduated with a double distinction from BPP law school, and subsequently worked for three years as a solicitor specialising in defamation, media, human rights and charity law. A keen runner, she has six Oxford blues and still holds the UK under-23 women’s 2-mile record.

Administration and finance
Chloe Williams-Wynne (chloe@london-institute.org) grew up in Wales and read politics in Scotland (Edinburgh University) before moving to London. She has worked in fund-raising and accounts for both non- and for-profit companies. Outside of LIMS, she is doing a part-time degree in nutrition. Spare time is spent kite-surfing, motor-biking, skiing and any other inane sport going. Calmer interests include cooking and pilates. She completed the London Marathon and will be plunging into the Thames for the London Triathlon this summer.

Institute dog
Cairn-westie terrier Mole started life in Yorkshire and has lived London for three years but those who know her are convinced that she has a Scottish accent. A tireless flirt, she loves men but is happiest careering around in the countryside. In London, she chases squirrels with gusto and travels around in a basket on the back of Chloe’s bicycle. She is notable for her greediness, consuming everything from cucumber to sweet potato. She loves fires and other sources of heat and is an amateur sunbather.
